Tasked with assigning a Hero to defeat the Demon Lord is an ambiguous figure known simply as the Prophet. As the priestess beholden to a particular god, she has the power to redo time until her chosen Hero successfully carries out his duty. Throughout her many time loops, one man piques her interest—a crass, money-grubbing adventurer who is a far cry from the ideal Hero candidate. Nonetheless, the Prophet taps him and his party to save the world.
