Ayashiro Suzune is a second-year student at the private Meirin Academy. Her father, Yamato, runs a dojo, and Suzune has been learning martial arts from her father since she was a child. She is a very talented fighter, and some people expect her to have a future as a fighter, but Suzune has no intention of doing so. The teachings of the dojo are not about defeating opponents, so matches that are based on winning and losing are a step away from the path. Although her dreams for the future are still vague, Suzune is living a meaningful school life with her friends Shizuo Akina and Himoto Ran. One day, two transfer students arrive at the school Suzune and her friends attend. They are sisters named Oura Miori and Miyuri, childhood friends who lived in Suzune's neighborhood when they were young. At the time, the two attended the Ayajo Dojo and were good friends with Suzune, but they lost contact after moving due to their parents' circumstances. Suzune and Miyuri are happy to meet again after a long time, but Miori's attitude is cold and it seems that she is clearly trying to distance herself from her. Feeling something is wrong with her behavior, Suzune begins to investigate Miori. While investigating Miori's movements, Suzune comes across a suspicious underground fighting event called "Blackout."
